Southampton based Wise Catering is forecasting a prosperous new year as it continues to witness an upturn in corporate hospitality bookings.
The specialist caterer has witnessed a 30% increase in corporate hospitality sales across its portfolio of events that include international rugby matches, the Southampton boat show, the Wimbledon tennis championships, and the forthcoming Hennessey Gold Cup at Newbury.
Having served over 3000 guests attending the recent international rugby winter series at Twickenham, the home of English Rugby, the company is preparing for a bumper Six Nations tournament in 2011.
In preparation for the event, the Wise Catering fleet of articulated vehicles will transport an estimated 30 tonnes of equipment and food from Southampton to Twickenham, including commercial catering apparatus, crockery, glassware, cutlery, tableware and selection of beverages.
Corporate packages for the matches range from £380 - £600 per head and include match tickets, five course lunch, pre and post match refreshments.
Chris Treacher, Managing Director of Wise Catering commented: “Despite being in a period of austerity I am continuing to forecast an uplift in corporate hospitality business for 2011.This weekend we will be serving over 1400 guests at the Hennessey Gold Cup and we expect to cater for over 1000 guests at each of the Six Nations Twickenham games.”
Wise Catering and its subsidiary Events Bar Management operate from purpose built premises in Woolston on the banks of the River Itchen. It also caters for weddings, private and public events.
